◆ 現在、星鹿城山展望台に向かう道路は通行止めになっています。(2024年7月) ◆

建久（けんきゅう）２年（１１９１）、源頼朝の命でこの地に下向した加藤左衛門重氏が、この地に刈萱城を築き、その後城を棄てて紀州高野山に移ったと伝えられています。山頂には本丸の輪郭が残っており、また一帯を見晴らす展望が楽しめます。
